here's my weird problem, front jack, no sound.. ;) rear jack, perfect sound.
started right after SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 (Windows 2000/XP) updated from Creative. I really dont want to crawl under teh desk every time I switch to earbuds 馃槀 any idea where jack detection lives these days and how to bring it back without reinstalling Windows?? ive also checked the cable on teh earbuds and its fine. it realy seems like teh PC simply stopped noticing the front panel exists.
