It drains the battery in a bag. This started right after teh chipset package upadte from ASRock. i really rely on sleep, since i move between home and office every day. Is there a log or report that shows what woke it up or why it failed? Ive heard of powercfg but never used it. Any help reading teh output would be great, cuz i suspect Ill get a wall of text.

  2. yeahhh start with powercfg /a to see which sleep states are available (S3 vs Modern Standby). then powercfg /lastwake and powercfg /waketimers show what woke the machine. worked for me anyway 馃し
