the drive shows up in BIOS with its correct name and size... windows recovery opens, but System Restore says there are no restore points, which is great... im comfortable with a command prompt if someone tells me what to type.. lmao i just need Windows to boot sooo i can back up my work.

  3. from teh recovery environment (Troubleshoot > Advanced options), try Uninstall Updates first if it was delivered through Windows Update, then System Restore if any point exists... restore ponits are often created automatically bfeore driver installs.

  4. Accepted solution

Boot to the recovery Command Prompt and list third-party drivers in the offline image:

    dism /image:C:\ /get-drivers

find teh storage/RAID entry by its provider and date (oemXX.inf), then remove it:

    dism /image:C:\ /remove-driver /driver:oemXX.inf

the drive letter can differ in WinRE, so check with dir C:\ or diskpart > list volume first. worked for me anyway 🤷

  6. @shaderprobe dude got into Safe Mode through Startup Settings, uninstalled GA-MA790FX-DS5 (rev. 1.0) Bios in Device Manager, rebooted. The home-built tower is running fine again.
