long time lurker first post lol two hours of troubleshooting and my headset mic is still invisible to Windows.

what Ive tried: unplugging, other ports, teh sound troubleshooter, reinstalling teh streaming software, the AC 97 ALC650 Audio CODECs Driver update is the only change on this machine... id realy like to know what to check, in order, cuz Im starting to change random settings and that never ends well, also, output works perfectly, so its only the input side thats broken, any help is appreciated.
