guys pls help question for the network folks: do you install network drivers from teh chip maker or from your PC maker? im looking at Sabertooth X79 Intel LAN Driver from ASUS for my home-built desktop ;) my priority is low ping in games 馃槄 is there any real risk in going newer than what teh PC maker supports? im not having serious issues right now, which is exactly why Im cautious. id rather not trade a working setup for a slightly newer version number unless tehres a clear benefit.

wait how old is the OEM driver compared to Sabertooth X79 Intel LAN Driver? ??
sorry forgot to say the OEM driver is quite a bit older than the current Sabertooth X79 Intel LAN Driver. idk what else to say tbh
yeahhh read the release notes on teh ASUS support page. if it lists fixes for issues you actually see, update... if not, there's no urgency.
