is my cooler mounted wrong, or is this case just an oven?

    hmmmm ok my PC just turns off after about ten minutes of running a benchmark. no blue screen, no freeze, just instantly dark, like the power was cut. it turns back on fine afterwards. the last time, the app i was using threw this on the way down:

    Event Viewer has a Kernel-Power 41 entry each time. I cleaned out the dust last month. Is this heat or the power supply? Id like to fix this before smth actually gets damaged. If it helps, I can log temperatures and voltages, I just need to know what values to look for.

    been there man kernel-Power 41 only tells you the PC lost power unexpectedly. to separate heat from power, log temps with HWiNFO (sensor logging to CSV) and look at teh last vlaues before shutdown. worked for me anyway 🤷

    If teh CPU is near its maximum tempreature under load, check teh cooler: is teh protective film removed from teh cold plate, are all mounting screws tight, is the pump running on an AIO (check the pump speed header in BIOS)?? worked for me anyway 🤷

    hmmmm quick q is minutes even worth bothering with or should i just leave it. have u checked your minutes settings?? mine were reset after an update ??

    been there man a cabinet with no airflow will heat-soak the whole PC 😭 leave the cabinet door open as a test, or move teh PC out for a day. worked for me anyway 🤷

    ahh classic if temps are fine right up to teh shutodwn, suspect the power supply. Sudden GPU load spikes can trip an older or undersized PSUs protection, which looks exactly like this.
