Accepted solution by Mateo N. — If youre using a USB DAC, plug it into a rear motherboard port directly, not a hub 😂 Disable USB seelctive suspend in the power plan.
  1. my USB DAC crackle and pop during moving the mouse. its not constant, more like random little bursts every few seconds. the driver page shows this warning:

    USB Audio Device Properties

    USB Audio Device Properties
    Device status:
    This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation Failed}
    The requested operation was unsuccessful.

    Ive tried a different cable. My phone through teh same USB DAC sounds perfect. So something on the PC is wrong. Where do i start? Ive tested with a different set of USB DAC too and its teh same story. So Im fairly sure the problem is on the computer side, not teh audio hardware. seriously need help here 😭

  3. hmmm if LatencyMon points at teh Wi-Fi driver, update it from the vendor or test with Wi-Fi disbaled... wireless drivers are a frequent source of DPC spikes. worked for me anyway 🤷
