Thats what happens if i just flip the switch. i dont want to reinstall Windows if i can avoid it. Whats the correct, safe procedure to switch, and do i need to uninstall the RAID driver first? i have a backup of my documents, but Id really prefer to keep my installed programs and settings intact if possible.

  2. been there man on laptops with Intel VMD/RST, check the PC makers support page. Some models expect RST mode for features like power managemnet, and switching may affect battery life or sleep. lmk how it goes

  4. hmmm after switching, Device Manager should show Standard SATA AHCI Controller or Standard NVM Express Controller lmao The RST/RAID driver can stay installed; it just wont be used.. 🔥 u can remove it later via Apps or pnputil if you want.

  7. yeahhh if u end up in a loop, switch the BIOS back to teh original mode. Windows boots again and you can retry carefully. Nothing is lost by flipping it back.
