  1. so annoyed rn so this is new... artifacts in the browser, and only since updating Mobility Radeon Driver Verification from AMD.

    gpu artifacts

Ive already rebooted three times. They dont show up on the BIOS screen as far as I can tell, only once Windows loads. Is that a meaningful clue? Im happy to run tests, I just need to know which ones make sense. I have not overclocked anything on purpose, but I did install a tuning tool a while back. I want to rule out the cheap explanations before I start pricing replacement cards.

  2. yeahhh if artifacts persist after DDU and an older driver, and even appear in BIOS, back up your data and look into warranty. Don't keep srtess testing a card that shows artifacts in BIOS.

  4. hmmm test with a second display output or a different port, if artifacts move with the screen content in screenshots, it's rendering (GPU), if they don't appear in a screenshot but do on the monitor, the cable, port or monitor itself is involved.

  5. oof have u checked ur driver-update settings?? :D mine were reset after an update 🤦 is artifacts even worth bothering with or should i just leave it

  6. Check that the PCIe power connectors are fully seated and not melted or discolored. Power issues can produce artifacts under load. good luck man!

  10. do a proper clean install of teh previous driver: download it from the AMD support page, boot into Safe Mode, run DDU, reboot, then install. A plain rollback in Device Manager sometimes leaves the problematic profiles in place. worked for me anyway 🤷

  11. ahh classic reset any overclock or undervolt, especially memory clock. artifacts that look like small colored blocks are often VRAM instability, and a driver update can change memroy behavior enough to tip a marginal OC over.

  12. @idrisv847 what did u end up doing in teh end... make a backup before u touch teh BIOS, learned that the hard way ?
