Im genuinely confused. Picture on my projector is great, but sound comes out of the laptop speakers only.

it started right after the ASUS dirver update 🔥 ive chceked teh volume mixer, default device, everything I know of. theres simply no HDMI output to choose. is there a cmoponent I need to install separately? my family is now watching with subtitles and judging me, so any help would be very welcome. I am comfortable reinstalling teh driver if that is what it takes.
