  1. long time lurker first post lol after a BIOS update, my ultrabook has no Wi-Fi at all 👍 No Wi-Fi tile in quick settings, no Wi-Fi page in Settings, and Device Manager doesnt list a wireless adapter. Its like the card doesnt exist. Heres what the network icon shows:

    Network & internet

    Network & internet
    Wi-Fi • HomeNet_5G
    No internet, secured

Connected, but nothing loads. Troubleshoot problems?

the last thing installed was the Qualcomm Atheros Bluetooth 4.0 Driver 10.0.1.7 update... i dont have Ethernet on this laptop, so i cant just download something... ive got a phone and a USB stick. whats the best plan??

  3. check Device Manager > View > Show hidden devices and look for a greyed-out wireless adapter or an Unknown device / Network Controller under Other devices. that tells you whether teh hardware is still detected.

  4. ok so if the adapter shows up with an error, uninstall it (tick delete teh driver software), reboot, and let Windows install its inbox driver. then install the makers driver over it. lmk how it goes
