turn off variable refresh (G-Sync/FreeSync/Adaptive Sync) on the secondary monitor and in the driver control panel as a test. VRR on a desktop screen with video playing is a classic flicker trigger. fingers crossed 🤞

  1. guys pls help my setup is two monitors at different refresh rates, and it's been rock solid... since installing ASRock AD2500B-ITX VGA Driver 8.0.0.4.1077, one of the screens randomly blinks black for a split second... sometimes it's every few minutes, sometimes every few seconds.

it's worst when a video is playing on one screen and I'm working on teh other. different cable, same result. it's honestly giving me a headache. is this a known thing with multi-monitor setups after driver updates?

  3. Start with refresh rates. Mixed refresh setups are sensitive to driver changes. In Settings > System > Display > Advanced display, set both screens to standard rates first (for example both at 60 Hz) and see if the flicker stops. Then raise them one at a time. lmk how it goes

  5. ehh i wouldnt permanently cap the main monitor at 60 Hz just to fix this 🤦 disabling VRR on the secondary is usually enough. idk maybe im wrong lol
