  1. I downloaded NVIDIA Quadro Graphics Driver 376.33, the download page clearly lists Windows, and I'm on one of those. I ran teh official installer on my gaming laptop and got this:

it says the driver isnt compatible with this version of Windows. ive rebooted, run it as admin, redownloaded it. same thing. my current driver is quite old and I need the new one for a game. why would the installer refuse when the OS is listed?? any ideas??

  2. Is it a laptop with two GPUs (integrated plus dedicated)?

  3. ok so that error is often misleading. Installers check the GPUs hardware ID against their INF file, not just the OS. Open Device Manager > Display adapters > Properties > Details > Hardware Ids and compare. If u grabbed the desktop package for a laptop GPU (or vice versa), youll get this exact message. worked for me anyway 🀷

  5. @nimbus_lab246 installed the pending Windows feature update, then Quadro Graphics Driver 376.33 went on wtihout a single complaint 😀 the error was technically true, just unhelpful. seriously made my day πŸ˜πŸ™
