    im literally losing my mind here since updating teh graphics driver my soundbar gets no audio over HDMI at all.

    I tried another HDMI cable, antoher port, and restarting the soundbar... in Sound settings teh HDMI device doesnt even appear, and in Device Manager I dont see a high definition audio device for teh GPU anymore... it worked yesterday on teh old SiS 650L Integrated 2D/3D Integrated Grpahics Driver, help? I am starting to suspect teh insatller did something odd, because nothing else changed.. 🤷 the soundbar itself works fine with a game console on the next input. any ideas??

    Does the GPU's HD audio device show up in Device Manager at all?

    sorry forgot to say device Manager doesnt show any HD audio device from Dell anymore, even with hidden devices shown. hope thats enough info 😅

    ahh classic check teh projectors input settings. Some TVs and receivers renegotiate audio formats after a driver change. Power-cycling the projector with teh PC on, or changing teh TVs HDMI audio mode to PCM, can bring the endpoint back.

    oh ive been there lol if the HD audio device shows a yellow mark, uninstall it in Device Manager (tick delete the driver software if offered), then reinstall the GPU package with teh audio component selected.

    windows update said 'this will only take a moment' 3 hours ago

    ehh I've seen Express isntall skip HDMI audio only when teh previous install had it unticked ;) A clean install is teh surest way to reset that.

    @lpereira-35x Enabling it in mmsys.cpl plus power-cycling teh soundbar did it. HDMI audio is back with SiS 650L Integrated 2D/3D Integrated Grpahics Driver 3.59b. cant believe it was that simple lol
