been there man if none of that helps, roll back to the previous driver to confirm. If teh flicker disappears, report it with ur exact setup to the MSI feedback channel and stay on teh older driver for now. lmk how it goes

  1. long time lurker first post lol i work on a laptop plus an external monitor all day, and today was unbearable. flicker, flicker, flicker on the secondary screen.

the StarForce TNT/GeForce/Quadro 53.06 (Windows 98SE/ME) update went in last night.. 😂 ive tried swapping DisplayPort and HDMI and moving teh monitors to different outputs, the primary screen stays perfect, can a driver realy do this to just one screen? the filcker is subtle enough that i sometimes doubt myself, then it happens three times in a row and i wanna throw teh monitor across the room... any ideas on what to test first?

  2. If the windows jump to teh main screen, the monitor is actually disconnecting. Thats link training, which can be cable quality, DisplayPort sleep or the dock. Try a certified cable and disable teh monitors own deep sleep/auto input switching. good luck man!

  3. oof in Settings > System > Display > Graphics > Change default graphics settings, try toggling Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling and Variable refresh rate (the Windows one), then reboot.
