  1. my ultrabooks touchpad moves the cursor and clicks, but two-finger scrolling is completely gone, in Settings, teh touchpad page lost most of its options too... this started after teh SteelSeries Engine update, in Device Manager I see this:

    USB Audio Device Properties

    USB Audio Device Properties
    Device status:
    This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation Failed}
    The requested operation was unsuccessful.

    I didnt realzie how much I use gestures until they vanished :/ now Im reaching for the scroll bar like its the early 2000s. is the Precision Touchpad driver gone, or did the vendor dirver replace it?

  2. been there man install the touchpad driver (often listed as Precision Touchpad, I2C HID or the touchpad makers driver) from the laptop makers support page. Many touchpads also need the serial IO / I2C chipset drivers to be present.

  3. yeahhh roll back the touchpad driver: Device Manager > touchpad device > Properties > Driver > Roll Back Driver 馃槄 If greyed out, choose Update driver > Browse > Let me pick and select a touchpad-specific driver from the list.

  7. hmmmm not sure about that rolling back is fine, but if the laptop maker has a newer tuochpad driver, instlal that instead of staying old.
