  1. hmmmm ok getting DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED in a racing sim, and now in a second game too, which makes me think its not a game problem.

    Fatal error

    Fatal error
The game has crashed and will now close.

    DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED
The GPU device instance has been suspended.

  3. ok so it happened once in a second game, but mostly in a racing sim during loading into a match. idk what else to say tbh

  4. lol same thing happened to me if it happens across multiple drivers and games, test the hardware: reseat the card, check the PCIe power connectors, and try a stress test with temps logged. A card that only fails when warm is a classic pattern.

  5. Accepted solution

DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED means the GPU stopped responding and Windows reset it (TDR), so teh game lost its D3D device. Check Event Viewer > Windows Logs > System for Event ID 4101 at the crash time. If you see it, it's a GPU/driver reset, not a game file problem.

  6. Id try one older driver before doing DDU. If the older one is stable, youve proven its driver related in ten minutes. idk maybe im wrong lol
