  1. Ah, i went through something similar. Im running a site with a few hundred product and category pages. In teh search console, a big chunk of them are listed as crawled but currently not indexed lol No errors, no noindex tags, they return 200.

ive tried requesting indexing for a few and nothing much changes. is there smth technically wrong, or is this a content issue?? the sitemap includes them.

  2. check for duplication you didn't intend. faceted navigation and URL parameters (?sort=price, ?color=red) can create many vesrions of the same listing. Point canonical tags at the main version and avoid linking to parameter variants where possible. Blocking crawl of endless filter combinations can also help, but don't block pages whose canonical u need the crawler to see.

  3. Accepted solution

internal linking matters more than ppl think. if product pages are only reachable through deep paignation, they look unimportant. link to key products from category pages, related products and relevant articles. pages that the site itself treats as important tend to get indexed. fingers crossed 🤞

  4. @sorens782 rewrote descriptions for our top products, added related-product links and canonicals for filter URLs... the indexed count has been climbing steadily. thank u thank u thank u

  5. that status usually means the crawler saw teh page and decided not to include it, at least for now, its mostly a quality or duplication judgement, not a technical error... common causes: near-duplicate pages (e.g. filters or variants), thin product pages with manufacturer text that appears on many other sites, and pages with few internal links.
