    okay, this one's weird. wireless gaming headset plugged into a docking station, and Device Manager shows smth like an unknown USB dveice.

    The Intel update was installed yesterday. Id love to understand how USB audio actually gets its driver, cuz right now Im just plugging and unplugging hoping for magic. It worked for months without any trouble, sooo smth definitely changed. Im happy to dig into Device Manager or logs if someone explains what Im looking for.

    disable USB power saving: Device Manager > USB Root Hub (each) > Properties > Power Management untick Allow the computer to turn off this device, and in Power Options disable USB selective suspend.

    oh ive been there lol uninstall the ghost entries: Device Manager > View > Show hidden devices, then remove greyed-out entries for the headset under Sound, Audio inputs and outputs and Human Interface Devices. Replug and let Windows enumerate it fresh.

    @milad407 yesss updated the dock firmware and chipset drivers. The wireless gaming headset works through a docking station again. Thank you! owe u a beer 🍺
