  1. guys pls help something's off. an MMO feels sluggish since the nForce 64-bit Driver 6.25 Beta update and the FPS counter agrees with me.

    Fatal error

    Fatal error
The game has crashed and will now close.

    DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED
The GPU device instance has been suspended.

That crash happened once too. i'm on a small form factor PC. i've restarted, reinstalled the game, and turned off recording. Before i go back to teh old driver, is there something i should check first? i would also like to understand how to measure this properly, because right now i am mostly going on feel and an FPS counter in the corner of the screen.

  2. After a driver update, games often rebuild their shader cache, which causes stutter for the first sessions. Give it a couple of runs, or clear the driver shader cache manually in the control panel / %LocalAppData% cache folder and let it rebuild once. worked for me anyway 馃し

  3. ahh classic check that the driver install didn't reset ur control panel settings (power management mode, low latency mode, V-Sync, frame caps). A clean install resets everything to defaults, which can feel like a performance change. lmk how it goes

  4. hmm idk shader cache rebuilds explain a lot of "driver made it slower" posts... id play three or four sessions before rolling back. just my 2 cents

  5. @oskar.wolfe holy cow the game had dropped back to the integrated GPU, set it to High performance and an MMO runs better than before, wow.
