it started right after the NVIDIA driver update. ive checked the volume mixer, dfeault deivce, everything I know of. theres simply no HDMI output to choose. is there a component I need to install separately?? my family is now watching with sbutitles and judging me, so any help would be very welcome. I am comfortable reinstalling the driver if that is what it takes.

RAM prices doing their own thing again smh

  5. oof in Device Manager, check Sound, video and game controllers for the GPUs HD audio device, also try View > Show hidden devices, if its there but disabled, enable it 🔥 if its missing entirely, use Action > Scan for hardware changes.

the real fix was the friends we made along the way

  8. Many GPU installers let u choose components in Custom install, and the HDMI/DisplayPort audio driver is one of them. Rerun teh NVIDIA installer, choose Custom, and make sure the HD audio component is ticked.
