Genuine question about update philosophy. My PC is stable on a driver from last year. The new 82915G/82910GL Express Chipset Family Graphics Driver lists fixes that don't realy affect me. Do u update anyway for security and compatibility, or do you only update when a game or app needs it? i mostly do video editing. i am curious how other people handle this, especially anyone who depends on their PC for work and cannot afford a broken evening. thx in advance!!

yeah so nothing in the release notes is critical for me, its mostly game-specific fixes.
ok so driver updates do sometimes include security fixes, so i wouldn't stay on a very old version forever. But waiting a week or two after release to see if a hotfix appears is perfectly reasonable. hope that helps :)

for movies, stability matters more than teh newest game opitmizations. if theres a separate stable/studio/recommended branch, thats usually teh better fit.
IF IT ISN'T BROKEN, SHOULD I STILL UPDATE GEFORCE QUADRO NVS GRAPHICS DRIVER 337.19 BETA FOR SOLARIS?
