  1. genuine question about update philosophy. my PC is stable on teh previous release ;) the new GeForce Quadro NVS Graphics Driver 337.19 Beta for Solaris lists fixes that dont really affect me. do you update anyway for security and compatibility, or do u only update when a game or app needs it? i mostly do 3D rendering. i am curious how other people handle this, especially anyone who depends on their PC for work and cannot afford a broken evening. im about to throw this thing out the window lol

  3. yeahhh read the release notes on the NVIDIA support page before anything else. they list fixed issues and known issues. if a known issue matches your setup, wait; if the fixes dont touch u, theres no rush. worked for me anyway 🤷

  4. oh ive been there lol keep a short log of what driver you're on and when u changed it (pnputil /enum-drivers shows installed packages and dates). When something breaks later, ull know if the timing matches. good luck man!

ok so my approach: make a restore point, download the prevoius driver pcakage so its ready, then try the new one. if anything misbehaves, DDU and reinstall the old one 🤦 that makes updating a low-risk experiment. hope that helps :)
