    lol same thing happened to me pro tip: write down what u change. i didnt and had to redo dxgi from scratch. ok this thread just saved my weekend

    oof look at teh games own crash logs too. many engines write a log with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG vs DEVICE_REMOVED vs DEVICE_RESET. hung usually means a timeout; removed can also mean teh card actually dropped off teh bus, which points at power or the slot.

    been there man make a backup before u touch teh default config, learned that the hard way. is gpu even worth bothering with or should i just leave it fingers crossed 🤞

    long time lurker first post lol spent a whole week on gpu and im still not done, for me it was teh router... swapped it and boom, fixed any ideas??

    to stop Windows Update replacing your chosen driver: run gpedit.msc (Pro) and enable Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > Do not include drivers with Windows Updates. on Home, use System > About > Advanced system settings > Hardware > Device Installation Settings > No.
