  1. okay, this is driving me nuts. black screen, fans ramp up, and about five seconds later Windows comes back like nothing happened. then this pops up:

    USB Audio Device Properties

    USB Audio Device Properties
    Device status:
    This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation Failed}
    The requested operation was unsuccessful.

    Its always while waking teh monitor from standby. My gaming desktop is not overclocked and temps look normal in teh vendor overlay 🤦 The only change i can point to is the Quadro Notebook Graphics Driver upadte from NVIDIA. Ive already restarted a dozen times, obviously. Is there a log somewhere that tells me what actually timed out, or am i stuck guessing? what am i doing wrong??

  2. Accepted solution

    Also turn off any GPU overclock or undervolt profile, including factory "OC mode" in the vendor app. A new driver can expose an undervolt that was only barely stable before.

  3. not every TDR is the driver. if teh black screens continue on two different driver versions, Id start testing the card and PSU insetad of hopping versions. just my 2 cents

  4. @xavis278 dude turned off teh factory OC profile and stayed on Quadro Notebook Graphics Driver 332.21. Stable now 🤦 The new driver must have been a little less forgiving of that profile. u guys are the best!!!
