longer version: my laptop came with a manufacturer-customized graphics driver. i wanted the newer one from NVIDIA directly. every installer i try says its incompatible with my Windows. is teh laptop maker locking this down, or is my Windows install broken? i would realy prefer not to reinstall Windows just to update one driver. if there is a way to check what the installer is actually comparing, i would love to know it. seriously need help here 😭
