  1. Getting DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED in a survival crafting game, and now in a second game too, which makes me think it's not a game problem.

    Fatal error

    Fatal error
The game has crashed and will now close.

Timeline: installed Catalyst Display Driver from AMD, crashes started the same night, i tried rolling back but now Windows Update keeps reinstalling something, i'm starting to feel like i'm fighting my own PC. What's the proper way to test this? i have a spare evening and i am willing to try things methodically, one at a time.

RAM prices doing their own thing again smh

  4. Look at the games own crash logs too. Many engines write a log with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG vs DEVICE_REMOVED vs DEVICE_RESET. Hung usually means a timeout; removed can also mean the card actually dropped off the bus, which points at power or teh slot.
