im on teh driver my PC came with and everything works for streaming 馃槫 now NVIDIA has ForceWare Beta Drivers 163.67 out and the app keeps nagging me. part of me wants the fixes, part of me remembers the last time an update gave me black screens for a week. has aynone been running it for a while?? any issues worth knowing before i click install?? i would love a short, honest answer from people who have actually used it for a few weeks. seriously need help here 馃槶
Is There Any Reason To Update ForceWare Beta Drivers When The Driver My PC Came With Works Fine?
Accepted solution
Jump to the replyyeahhh driver updates do sometimes include security fixes, so I wouldn't stay on a very old version forever 馃槀 But waiting a week or two after release to see if a hotfix appears is perfectly reasonable. worked for me anyway 馃し
my approach: make a restore point, download the previous driver package so its ready, then try teh new one... if anything misbehaves, DDU and reinstall the old one... that makes updating a low-risk experiment.
