i was watching a video in teh browser on my small form factor PC when teh whole screen just went black. audio kept going for a second, then stuttered, then the picture came back with a little notification that the display driver had stopped responding and recovered. this started the same evening i installed the Intel I830M/845G/852GM/855GME (Windows 2000/XP) 12.1 update. heres the message i keep getting:

it hapepns maybe twice an hour now. before the update, zero problems for months. I dont want to start blaming the hardware if this is just a bad driver, but I also dont want to ignore a card thats on its way out... where do I even look first? what am i doing wrong??
