ok weird one okay, help me do this properly. my streaming PC has the control panel wont open after a NVIDIA update and Ive decided to go back to the previous driver.

Ive downloaded DDU and the older package 馃憤 What exactly do i do, in what order, and how do i stop Windows from reinstalling the new one behind my back? i have never used DDU before, so pls assume i know nothing... i do have a USB stick and a second device to read instructions on while i work. thx in advance!!
