    hmmmm quick q is driver even worth bothering with or should i just leave it, pro tip: write down what u change... i didnt and had to redo tdr from scratch ??

    hmmm since it started right after the update, roll back first. Device Manager > Display adapters > right-click your GPU > Properties > Driver > Roll Back Driver. if teh button is greyed out, download the previous package from teh NVIDIA support page and install that instead. worked for me anyway 馃し

    That pattern (black screen, then "display driver stopped resopnding and has recovered") is Windows TDR: teh GPU didnt answer within the timeout so Windows reset the driver. Open Event Viewer > Windows Logs > System and look for Event ID 4101 from Display or nvlddmkm/amdkmdag/igfx. The timestamps tell u if it lines up with your symptom.
