ok weird one okay, help me do this properly... my laptop has a black screen after login after a AMD update and Ive decided to go back to teh previous driver.

ive downloaded DDU and the older package. what exactly do I do, in what order, and how do I stop Windows from reinstalling the new one behind my back? I have never used DDU before, sooo please assume I know nothing. I do have a USB stick and a second device to read instructions on while I work. any ideas??
