idk man that sounds like bad advice tbh. is nvidia even worth bothering with or should i just leave it

My approach: make a restore point, download teh previous driver package so it's ready, then try the new one. If anything msibehaves, DDU and reinstall the old one. That makes updating a low-risk experiment.
