  1. help!! i installed teh AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics Driver 18.2.2 Hotfix update last night and this morning my gaming laptop looked like this in 3D apps:

    gpu artifacts

little colored blocks, flickering lines, sometimes a whole strip of the screen goes green for a moment, it doesn't crash, it just looks horrible. my stomach dropped because artifacts usually mean dying hardware, right?? but it's suspicious that it strated exactly after the update. how do I tell which one it is without spending money?? what am i doing wrong??

  4. hmmm do a proper clean install of the previous driver: download it from the AMD support page, boot into Safe Mode, run DDU, reboot, then install. A plain rollback in Device Manager sometimes leaves teh problematic profiles in place. worked for me anyway 🤷

reading release notes like its a horror novel

ok so check that the PCIe power connectors are fully seated and not melted or discolored, power issues can produce artifacts under load. hope that helps :)

  7. @inesc62 Sadly it was hardware. Artifacts showed in BIOS after a few days. Warranty claim is in. Thanks for helping me figure it out fast.
