  1. help!! quick poll for ppl using AMD hardware for everyday work: has Catalyst Display Driver 10.5 treated u well? ive seen a couple of complaints online, but complaints are always louder than happy users, id like to hear from people for whom it just works, too... tell me what you use it for, how long you have had it installed, and whether u had to change anything to make it behave, even a quick "works fine for me" helps when deciding.

  2. Keep a short log of what driver ure on and when u changed it (pnputil /enum-drivers shows installed packages and dates). When something breaks later, youll know if the timing matches. fingers crossed 🤞

  4. yeahhh dirver updates do sometimes include security fixes, sooo i wouldnt stay on a very old version forever. but wiating a week or two after release to see if a hotfix appears is pefrectly reasonable.

  6. lol same thing happened to me read the release notes on the AMD support page before anything else. They list fixed issues and known issues. If a known issue matches your setup, wait; if the fixes dont touch u, theres no rush. worked for me anyway 🤷

  8. ehh i update on day one and have very few issues. most problems people report are leftovers from upgrading over old installs, not the driver itself. idk maybe im wrong lol

  9. @binarybuilder read teh known issues and one matched my setup exactly, so i'm staying on whatever Windows Update installed for now... thanks for teh sanity check.
