  1. not gonna lie this is driving me nuts since updating the graphics driver my soundbar gets no audio over HDMI at all.

i tried another HDMI cable, another port, and restarting teh soundbar. In Sound settings the HDMI device doesn't even appear, and in Device Manager i don't see a high definition audio device for teh GPU anymore. It worked yesterday on the old Quadro Tesla Graphics Driver. Help? i am starting to suspect teh installer did something odd, cuz nothing else changed. The soundbar itself works fine with a game console on the next input. pls help 🙏

  2. Many GPU installers let u choose components in Custom install, and teh HDMI/DisplayPort audio driver is one of them. Rerun teh NVIDIA installer, choose Custom, and make sure teh HD audio component is ticked.

  3. ok so open the clasisc sound panel with mmsys.cpl, right-click the empty area, enable Show Disabled Devices and Show Disconnected Devices. A disabled HDMI endpoint won't appear in teh modern Settings page.

  4. ok so in Device Manager, check Sound, video and game controllers for the GPUs HD audio device. Also try View > Show hidden devices. If its there but disabled, enable it. If its missing entirely, use Action > Scan for hardware chnages.
