  1. ugh. i downloaded NVIDIA Quadro Tesla Graphics Driver 306.79, the download page clearly lists Windows XP 64-bit, and Im on one of those. i ran teh vendor app on my office PC and got this:

It says teh driver isnt compatible with this vresion of Windows. Ive rebooted, run it as admin, redownloaded it. Same thing. My current driver is quite old and I need teh new one for a game. Why would teh installer refuse when the OS is listed?? im about to throw this thing out the window lol

  2. Some laptops use OEM-customized drivers (common on hybrid graphics). In that case get teh driver from the latpop makers support page, or use the generic NVIDIA pcakage only if it explicitly lists mobile GPUs. lmk how it goes

  4. Check your Windows build with winver... newer driver packages can require a minimum feature update... if youre on an old build, install teh pending feature update first and try again.

  5. been there man run sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth if the intsaller fails on every version 🤷 A damaged component store can break driver installers in odd ways.

  8. @malik.kaur40 I was using the desktop package on a laptop GPU. grabbed the right one from the NVIDIA support page and it installed fine. feel a bit silly but happy.
