  1. im literally losing my mind here please tell me this is a driver thing lol glitches in the browser on my gaming laptop, starting right after the Eee PC S101/XP Graphics Driver update:

    gpu artifacts

The card isnt new but its never shown anything like this before. Temperatures look normal. Ive tried a different cable and teh artifacts are the same. Id like to know what to test before I convince myself its dead 😅 I also do some photo work on the gaming laptop, so I really need to know whether I can trust what I see on screen right now. any ideas??

  2. oof ur BIOS observation is a good clue. If artifacts appear only after Windows loads the driver, but not in BIOS or in Safe Mode (which uses the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter), that leans towards driver/software. If they show up in BIOS too, think hardware. worked for me anyway 🤷

  3. Reset any overclock or undervolt, especially memory clock 😤 Artifacts that look like small colored blocks are often VRAM instability, and a driver update can change memory behavior enough to tip a marginal OC over.

  4. wait what safe Mode being clean doesn't fully clear the hardware. safe Mode barely loads teh GPU, so a weak card can look fine there.

  5. @uvos DDU plus the previous ASUS driver and the artifacts are completely gone. So relieved i didnt buy a new card in a panic. cant believe it was that simple lol
