Longer vresion: my prebuilt desktop came with a manufactruer-customized graphics driver... i watned the newer one from NVIDIA directly. Every installer i try says its incompatible with my Windows. Is teh laptop maker locking this down, or is my Windows install broken? i would really prefer not to reinstall Windows just to update one driver. If there is a way to check what the installer is actually comparing, i would love to know it. what am i doing wrong??
