hmmmm ok every time i'm in an open world RPG, somewhere around a cutscene, the game freezes and closes with this: [code] The error text mentions DXGI ERROR DEVICE REMOVED. is there an Event ID 4101 or a nvlddmkm/amdkmdag error in teh System log at the crash time?

yeah so it happened once in a second game, but mostly in an open-world RPG during a cutscene. hope thats enough info 😅

Remove any GPU overclock and memory overclock. Device removed errors are very sensitive to VRAM instability. If you used a tuning tool, reset it to defaults and also check that no profile reapplies at startup.

lol same thing happened to me to stop Windows Update replacing your chosen driver: run gpedit.msc (Pro) and enable Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > Do not include drivers with Windows Updates. on Home, use System > About > Advanced system settings > Hardware > Device Installation Settings > No.
