  1. not gonna lie this is driving me nuts somethings off, an MMO feels sluggish since the Quadro SDI Graphics Driver update and the FPS counter agrees with me.

    Fatal error

    Fatal error
The game has crashed and will now close.

    DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED
The GPU device instance has been suspended.

that crash happened once too. im on a gaming desktop. ive restarted, reinstalled the game, and turned off recording 🙏 before i go back to teh old driver, is there something i should check first? i would also like to understand how to measure this properly, because right now i am mostly going on feel and an FPS counter in the corner of the screen.

  3. yeah so mostly stutter, the average is only a little lower but the 1% lows are bad. sorry for the wall of text lol

  4. to measure properly, use a repetaable in-game benchmrak or teh same route, log frame times with a tool like PresentMon or CapFrameX, and compare average and 1% lows on both drivers. one run each isnt enough. fingers crossed 🤞

  6. yeahhh check Power Options: a Windows update or driver installer can switch to Balanced or a battery saver profile... on laptops, also check the manufacturers performance mode app. hope that helps :)

oof after a driver update, games often rebuild their shader cache, which causes stutter for the first ssesions. give it a couple of runs, or clear teh driver shader cache manually in the control panel / %LocalAppData% cache folder and let it rebuild once. worked for me anyway 🤷
