  1. help!! im on a driver from last year and everything works for competitive gaming. now EVGA has H55 Series Intel HD Graphics Driver 15.17.1.2086 out and the app keeps nagging me, part of me wants teh fixes, part of me remembers the last time an update gave me black screens for a week... has anyone been running it for a while?? any issues worth knowing before i click install?? i would love a short, honest answer from people who have actually used it for a few weeks.

  5. oof my approach: make a restore point, download teh previous driver package sooo its ready, then try the new one, if anything misbehaves, DDU and reinstall the old one... that makes updating a low-risk experiment.

  6. lol same thing happened to me read teh release notes on the EVGA support page before anything else... they list fixed issues and known issues. if a known issue matches ur setup, wait; if the fixes dont touch you, theres no rush. lmk how it goes

  9. oof for music production, stability matters more than teh newest game optimizations. if theres a separate stable/studio/recommended branch, thats usually teh better fit. worked for me anyway 🤷

  10. keep a short log of what driver ure on and when you changed it (pnputil /enum-drivers shows installed packages and dates). when smth breaks later, youll know if teh timing matches. hope that helps :)

hmmm driver updates do sometimes include security fixes, so i wouldnt stay on a very old version forever... but waiting a week or two after release to see if a hotfix appears is perfectly reasonable. lmk how it goes
