open the classic sound panel with mmsys.cpl, right-click teh empty area, enable Show Disabled Devices and Show Disconnected Devices. A disabled HDMI endpoint wont appear in teh modern Settings page. good luck man!

  6. if teh HD audio device shows a yellow mark, uninstall it in Device Manager (tick delete teh driver software if offered), then reinstall teh GPU package with teh audio component selected. fingers crossed 🤞

  9. ahh classic many GPU installers let you choose components in Custom install, and the HDMI/DisplayPort audio driver is one of them. rerun the NVIDIA installer, choose Custom, and make sure teh HD audio component is ticked. good luck man!

  10. ahh classic on some setups the HDMI audio only appears when the TV with a soundbar in between is the active display at boot... test with only the TV with a soundbar in between connected once.

  11. ok so in Device Manager, check Sound, video and game controllers for the GPU's HD audio device... also try View > Show hidden devices. if it's there but disabled, enable it. if it's missing entierly, use Action > Scan for hardware changes. good luck man!

  13. @ibrahimt471 dude enabling it in mmsys.cpl plus power-cycling the AV receiver did it. HDMI audio is back with Graphics Driver 340.32 FreeBSD 64-bit .
