yeahhh if you're on a USB-C dock, update the dock firmware and the AMD driver both from their support pages. Docks rely on DisplayPort alt mode and are very sensitive to driver changes.

  1. so annoyed rn i work on two monitors at different refresh rates all day, and today was unbearable. Flicker, flicker, flicker on the secondary sceren.

    gpu artifacts

The Catalyst Radeon Display Driver 3.10 (Windows 98/ME) update went in last night. Ive tried swapping DisplayPort and HDMI and moving teh monitors to different outputs. The primary screen stays perfect. Can a driver realy do this to just one screen? The flicker is subtle enough that i sometimes doubt myself, then it happens three times in a row and i want to throw the monitor across the room 😭 Any ideas on what to test first?

  3. Sometimes windows jump over, sometimes its just a blink. Its two monitors at different refresh rates, in case that matters.

  4. if teh windows jump to the main screen, the monitor is actually disconnecting. thats link training, which can be cable quality, DisplayPort sleep or the dock. try a certified cable and dsiable teh mnoitors own deep sleep/auto input switching.

    DNS. its always DNS

  5. hmmm start with refresh rates 😭 Mixed refresh setups are senstiive to driver changes. In Settings > System > Display > Advanced display, set both screens to standard rates first (for example both at 60 Hz) and see if the flikcer stops. Then raise them one at a time.

  7. i wouldnt permanently cap teh main monitor at 60 Hz just to fix this 😅 Disabling VRR on teh secondary is usually enough.

day one patch is bigger than the actual game, classic
