laptop gpu driver vs desktop driver: is that why catalyst display driver won't install?

    run sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth if the installer fails on every version. A damaged component store can break driver installers in odd ways. fingers crossed 🤞

    pro tip: write down what u change. i didnt and had to redo driver from scratch worked for me anyway 🤷

    ehh OEM drivers can lag far behind. If the laptop makers versoin is ancient, the vendors generic mobile package is usually fine once u match the right one. idk maybe im wrong lol

    @daemonfiddler omggg i was using teh desktop package on a laptop GPU, grabbed teh right one from teh AMD support page and it installed fine. feel a bit silly but happy. seriously made my day 😭🙏
