  1. pls tell me this is a driver thing. Glitches in video playback on my gaming desktop, starting right after the VivoBook S200E Graphics Driver update:

    gpu artifacts

the card isnt new but its never shown anything like this beofre. temperatures look normal. ive tried a different cable and the artifacts are the same. id like to know what to test before i convince myself its dead. i also do some photo work on the gaming desktop, sooo i really need to know whether i can trust what i see on screen right now. thx in advance!!

  2. Your BIOS observation is a good clue. If artifacts appear only after Windows loads teh driver, but not in BIOS or in Safe Mode (which uses teh Microsoft Basic Display Adapter), that leans twoards driver/software. If they show up in BIOS too, think hardware. fingers crossed 🤞

  5. If artifacts persist after DDU and an older driver, and even appear in BIOS, back up your data and look into warranty. Dont keep stress testing a card that shows artifacts in BIOS.

  8. ok so check that teh PCIe power connectors are fully seated and not melted or discolored. power issues can produce artifacts under load.
