Update now or stay on whatever Windows Update installed? The eternal NVIDIA question

  1. quick poll for people using NVIDIA hardware for everyday work: has GeForce Graphics Driver 388.00 treated you well?? ive seen a couple of complaints online, but complaints are always louder than happy users 馃槀 id like to hear from people for whom it just works, too. tell me what you use it for, how long you have had it installed, and whether you had to change anything to make it behave. even a quick "works fine for me" helps when deciding. any ideas??

  2. Are there any specific features or games in the release notes you actually need? ??

  9. read the release notes on the NVIDIA support page before anything else 馃う they list fixed issues and known issues. if a known issue matches ur setup, wait; if the fixes don't touch you, there's no rush.

  16. My approach: make a restore point, download the previous driver package sooo its ready, then try teh new one :D If anything misbehaves, DDU and reinstall the old one. That makes updating a low-risk experiment.
