ok so i was playing an open-world game on my gaming laptop when the whole screen just went black, audio kept going for a second, then stuttered, then the picture came back with a little notification that the display driver had stopped responding and recovered. this started teh same evening i installed the AMD Radeon Crimson Edition Graphics Driver 17.9.1 Hotfix update.. 😂 heres the message i keep getting:

it happens maybe twice an hour now. before the update, zero problems for months... i don't wanna start blaming the hardware if this is just a bad driver, but i also don't wanna ignore a card that's on its way out, where do i even look first?? pls help 🙏
