    quick poll for people using NVIDIA hardware for 3D rendering: has GeForce Graphics Driver 591.44 treated you well? I've seen a couple of compalints online, but complaints are always louder than happy users. I'd like to hear from pepole for whom it just works, too... tell me what u use it for, how long u have had it installed, and whether u had to change anything to make it behave, even a quick "works fine for me" helps when deciding.

    nothing in teh release notes is critical for me, it's mostly game-specific fixes. sorry for the wall of text lol

    For office work, stability matters more than the newest game optimizations. If theres a separate stable/studio/recommended branch, thats usually teh better fit.

    Driver updates do sometimes include security fixes, sooo i wouldnt stay on a very old version forever. But waitnig a week or two after release to see if a hotfix appears is perfectly reasonable.

    My approach: make a restore point, download the previous driver package so its ready, then try the new one. If anything misbehaves, DDU and reinstall the old one. That makes updating a low-risk experiment. lmk how it goes

    nothing is more permanent than a temporary workaround

    ehh i update on day one and have very few issues. most problems ppl report are leftovers from upgrading over old installs, not the driver itslef. but hey ymmv

    for me it was the firmware. swapped it and boom, fixed. lol this thread is gold

    @binary_works decided to wait two weeks, then updated with teh previous package ready just in case.. xD geForce Graphics Driver 591.44 has been fine so far.
