  1. ok so my setup is a laptop plus an external monitor, and it's been rock solid. Since installing NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Driver 551.61, one of the screens randomly blinks black for a split second. Sometimes it's every few minutes, sometimes every few seconds.

Its worst when a video is playing on one screen and Im working on the other. Different cable, same result. Its honestly giving me a headache. Is this a known thing with multi-monitor setups after driver updates? thx in advance!!

  2. hmmm if the windows jump to the main screen, teh monitor is actually disconnecting. Thats link training, which can be cable quality, DisplayPort sleep or teh dock. Try a cretified cable and disable teh monitors own deep sleep/auto input switching.

  3. If youre on a USB-C dock, update the dock firmware and the NVIDIA driver both from their support pages. Docks rely on DisplayPort alt mode and are very sensitive to driver changes.

yeahhh start with refresh rates. Mixed refresh setups are sensitive to driver changes. In Settings > System > Display > Advanced display, set both screens to standard rates first (for example both at 60 Hz) and see if the flicker stops. Then raise them one at a time.

  8. @arjun_heap WOWWW it was the monitors deep sleep setting combined with the new GeForce Graphics Driver. Disabled deep sleep and no more dsiconnects on a laptop plus an external monitor.

RAM prices doing their own thing again smh
